Fees are $135 per hour. Payable only on the day.
(NB: If referred with a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan,
the gap paid is less than $20*).
* Medicare rebates are now available for individuals with a Mental
Health Disorder who are treated by a Registered Psychologist. The
person must be referred by a GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician.
Clients can claim a maximum of 12 sessions per calendar year for
individual counselling. A further 6 sessions can be claimed under
extenuating circumstances. More information about Medicare rebates
is obtainable from the APS website.
Currently the Medicare rebate
for consulting with a clinical psychologist is approximately $117,
meaning a gap of less than $20 per session. Payments may be made by
cash, cheque, credit card, or EFTPOS. The Yarra Junction Medical Centre
has Medicare Easyclaim, which means that the Medicare rebate is paid
into your bank account almost immediately upon paying your account.
Bulk-billing will be considered for people under sever financial stress and
for health-care card/pension card holders.
Cancellation Policy: If for some reason you need to cancel or postpone
an appointment, please contact the clinic at least 24 hours in advance
to avoid a cancellation fee.
